Veterans are able to access community nursing and allied health care with no out of pocket expenses.
Home care services such as domestic assistance, respite and home maintenance services are provided with funding available through the Department of Veterans Affairs, with a nominal co-payment.
Private health funds may contribute to your nursing and allied health care depending on your level of cover, hospital arrangements and service requirements.
The Australian Government provides Home Care Packages (HCP) to eligible people. Recipients are assessed as requiring a Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 package. We are a skilled home care organisation and can help you navigate through the complex Aged Care system.
As a specialist clinical care and allied health provider, Clinical Care Professionals is also approved to deliver Transitional Care Packages (TCP) and Short Term Restorative Care (STRC) Packages. TCP are available to eligible people being discharged from hospital after a procedure, to assist them to transition back to normal mobility and health in the home.
STRC are available to eligible people who have an incident at home, and are designed to provide necessary care and therapy to help the recipient avoid hospitalisation.
Access to HCP, TCP and STRC packages requires a formal assessment with the Aged Care Assessment Team. Co-payments are based on recommendations from the Federal Government with more information and a fee calculator available at www.myagedcare.gov.au
All services are available on a private fee for service basis and will be negotiated at the time of referral.
